About - Lukasz Kulakowski

Hi, I’m Lukasz.
I make creative chaos look… organised.

At EF Education First, I’m deeply involved in shaping how our Global Creative Studio works - not just what we create, but how we collaborate, share, and grow as a team. I’m passionate about creating systems that foster creativity without stifling it, and I care deeply about the culture that underpins the craft.

My background spans over 20 years, with experience in Ireland, Poland, and now Switzerland. Before EF, I helped build the visual identity of Web Summit from the ground up, hiring teams, guiding creative direction, and helping design find its place at the leadership table. I’ve also worked with agencies such as Ogilvy, Image Now, and Hand Made, on projects for brands including Unilever, Diageo, Danone, and Bank of Ireland.

What keeps me going? The intersection of design and people. I’m just as interested in how teams feel as in how things look. I think clear thinking, a sense of humour, and mutual respect go a long way - especially when paired with good typography.
